Description of disability: 


A variant of longitudinal deficiency, one or two digits/rays may be missing
in a cleft hand.

Treatment:

In surgery, the cleft area is narrowed by approximating the border digits, with or without removal of intervening bone.
The surgery is done under general anesthesia with a hospital stay of one or two days.

Post operative care: 

Routine postoperative care: keep arm elevated in arm sling and reviews every 4 days for 2 weeks.
